The Academy of Allergy and Asthma in Primary Care(AAAPC) is a national non-profit organization, which supports innovative care models of allergy and asthma care in the primary care setting and assists physicians in expanding their role to provide allergy diagnostics and therapy to the under-served patient population.

The mission of the Academy of Allergy & Asthma in Primary Care is to foster the ability of physicians to provide high quality, accessible patient diagnostic and therapeutic allergy and asthma care.

AAAPC is a voice for thousands of physicians and patients using allergy and asthma diagnostic and therapeutic services to raise awareness of the link between allergy care and asthma prevention, particularly in pediatric and family practice populations.

For Physicians

The AAAPC assists physicians in expanding their role to provide allergy diagnostics and therapy to the underserved patient population. We achieve this by providing education seminars that discuss and demonstrate the most recent breakthroughs in patient-centered allergy care.

For Members

The AAAPC works with its members to ensure that they are properly compensated for their efforts, and provides them with legal counsel by Pillsbury LLC.

For Patients

With only 3,500 practicing allergists in the country, the 60 million1 Americans that suffer from allergies and asthma are an underserved patient population. Although 94-98%3 of patients with allergic rhinitis could benefit from immunotherapy, only 2-6%3 of patients with allergic rhinitis currently undergo this therapy. The academy realizes that many Americans do not have access to the necessary treatment for their disorders and works with physicians to bring the latest in allergy care to a doctor near them. Allergy care is primary care.
